In April, Flight Centre Travel Group UK looked a little different, as our people from the London offices came together for a morning that put wellbeing and connection front and centre.

UK Flighties laced up their trainers and took part in our Fun Run, choosing between 5K, 10K and half marathon distances. Whether seasoned runners or taking on a new challenge, everyone showed up with the same spirit to support one another and enjoy the experience together.

It was not just about crossing the finish line. After the run, participants were welcomed with a well earned breakfast and post run massages, a thoughtful touch that made the whole morning feel even more rewarding.

What stood out most was the atmosphere. There was a real sense of encouragement throughout, with colleagues cheering each other on at every stage and celebrating every achievement, no matter the distance. It was a powerful reminder that workplace culture is not built solely in meetings and inboxes, but in moments like these, where people can step away from the day to day, connect across teams and share something positive together.

Events like our Fun Run highlight the importance of creating space for wellbeing at work. They bring people together in a different way, strengthening relationships and reinforcing a sense of community that carries back into the workplace.

A big thank you to our Employee Benefits Executive, Elizabeth Stewart, for organising such a fantastic event and for the role she continues to play in implementing our Healthwise initiatives, helping to keep wellbeing firmly on the agenda across our business. It is safe to say this is one we will all be talking about for a while.
