Integrations Services is at the heart of Flight Centre and is responsible for the Common Core services that power Flight Centre. We create the Booking Management capability which enable our brands and experience teams to effectively search, cart, book and manage our travel products.

As Engineering Manager for our Booking & Fulfilment team, you will lead with a product mindset to craft services that enable, empower and accelerate our business and integrating engineering teams. You will set the standard for high performance, build the culture to sustain it, and drive the operational excellence that keeps teams moving forward.

Day to day:

  • Lead and develop one or more engineering teams by overseeing hiring, onboarding, performance and career growth, while fostering a high-performing culture built on autonomy, collaboration and psychological safety
  • Drive successful delivery outcomes by collaborating with product, business and engineering stakeholders, supporting agile practices, removing blockers, managing dependencies and risks, and continuously improving team delivery performance and predictability
  • Own and guide the engineering strategy and roadmap for your team, with a focus on service performance, stability, and usability - empowering integrating teams to move fast with confidence
  • Oversee operational management by leading capacity planning, resource forecasting, budget and vendor management, driving process and agile improvements, and reporting on team performance, delivery metrics and key initiatives

You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

  • At least 2 years' experience leading and scaling software engineering teams in an agile environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience working with software development teams in a product led organisation
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements through establishing and maturing engineering processes, standards, and ways of working
  • Demonstrated experience driving service strategies and roadmaps through close partnership with product and engineering stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Experience working in finance, payments, or transaction-critical domains, with an understanding of reconciliation, disbursement, or financial system integration
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain engineering talent through coaching, career development, and performance management
  • Experience engaging with vendors, contractors, and external technology partners to deliver outcomes and manage costs
