Moneywise Global is the Flight Centre Travel Group’s (FCTG) Financial Services business, now in its 25th year. It reaches an Australian and Global employee base initially with a financial literacy education platform as an employee benefit. The offer then extends to professionally delivered Money Coaching, Financial Advice, Lending and Tax services.
Moneywise Tax offers employee, individual and business tax advice, accounting services, and tax return completion in a competitive fee model. The client base includes current and past FCTG employees, associated SME’s, travel industry partner employees, and corporate travel clients. The team is currently four headcount strong growing with a casual payroll in peak tax return time.
About the Opportunity
In this senior role you will ensure continued provision of first rate service and expertise across the current offer. You will look to grow the business both internally within FCTG and externally.
Position Accountabilities:
- Manage compliance and ATO lodgements for Individuals, Companies, Trusts and Partnerships, IASs and BASs
- Preparation and review of tax returns for Individuals, Trusts, Companies and Partnerships
- Review of financial statements and income tax working papers
- Provision of tax advice for individuals and businesses
- Lodgement of tax documents and statements with the ATO
- Understand and apply Australian Taxation legislation, laws and regulations, and applicable industry Codes of Practice
- Work with and be accountable to the FCTG Internal Risk function, which acts as a second line of defence in the Moneywise Risk Framework structure
- Ensure systems and processes work to minimise risks to Moneywise, FCTG and all stakeholders of the Tax team and the Moneywise business as relevant
- Clear understanding and communication of Team and Business Purpose, Vision and Goals to all stakeholders as relevant
- Strengthen and Support a healthy team and business culture in alignment with the FCTG Values and Philosophies
- Demonstrate mentoring and leadership influence to permanent and casual staff throughout the year
- Role model behaviours of integrity, professionalism, trust and team contribution
- Accountability to Business Leadership for delivery of KPIs and results under the influence of the role
- Work with the Tax Leader to Identify business opportunities within and outside of the existing Moneywise Global client base and service offering,
- Develop individual and team activity plans to capitalise on growth opportunities, working with the Marketing function as necessary
- Work with the Tax Leader to build the team in capability and capacity to maximise opportunity for the business and client base alike.

Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant Degree and Professional Qualification and membership of either CPA or CA
- Minimum 5 years’ experience across preparation of individual and business tax returns and financial statements, with 1 – 2 years in a Management role
- Demonstrated contribution and leadership experience in high performing teams
- Demonstrated experience in growing a Tax business
