Digital Marketing Analyst

 

The Digital Marketing Analyst will work with other members of the StudentUniverse team on CPC/CPA advertising initiatives across multiple platforms but primarily within the travel aggregator space (e.g. Kayak, Intent Media). This is a very hands-on role where the individual will be able to see their impact on the business results. This role requires campaign management, CPC bid management/modeling, budgeting, report curation, negotiating and interfacing with partners. It is important to have Microsoft Excel proficiency, an analytical mindset, and an internal drive to solve problems while building relationships with key decision-makers at our partner companies. Experience in a web-based digital marketing role is necessary. If you are someone who loves manipulating data but also sees the bigger picture and can apply business logic into your decision making, this is the role for you.

 

Note: This role works with StudentUniverse, whose parent company is Flight Centre Travel Group.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Audit, optimize and build advertising campaigns on comparison shopping engines
  • Handle daily, weekly, and monthly core account optimizations such as, but not limited to, list expansions, spend efficiency, ad copy, and targeting adjustments
  • Bid management/modeling towards CPA and growth targets
  • Build and maintain partner relationships
  • Use Excel and Tableau to track account performance for internal (marketing team optimization) and external (Exec team) audiences
  • Monitor search trends, best practices, and techniques to ensure correct account spend/growth and to identify new opportunities
  • Prospect for new opportunities with new and existing partners
  • Proactively research campaign issues and formulate actionable solutions based off findings
  • Work with testing team to drive A/B testing and conversion rate optimization within the compare channel
  • Create and manage reports and spend spreadsheets
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financials as needed
  • Perform ad hoc projects and reports

 

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity manipulating and working with data; Analytical background
  • Experience in digital marketing (Comparison shopping, PPC, Affiliate, and/or Display)
  • History of critical thinking and problem solving
  • Understanding of causal impact analysis, predictive analysis, and/or simulation analysis
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written communication
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics

 

 

Pluses:

  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Experience in the travel or insurance industry
