About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our team in Hanoi, Vietnam. This role plays an important part in ensuring the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the On Premise and Cloud Based systems that support our core organizational functions.
This role requires additional knowledge and experience around technologies and techniques for automating provision and management of a hybrid infrastructure in a distributed environment. This role is also responsible for architecting and designing potential infrastructure, network and systems solutions throughout the organization.
You will be responsible for:
- Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Providing orientation and training to other IT staff and/or end-users, as necessary.
- Working with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system related products and services.
- Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
- Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
About You:
- A minimum of university diploma in IT or related field
- A minimum of 5 years related experience and preferred leadership experience in leading a high performing IT team.
- Proven experience in delivering the design, development and implementation of infrastructure, network and/or other IT related solution.
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practice.
- Strong network management experience across network layers.
- Multi-tier architectures experience: load balancers, caching, network layers, application servers
- Strong communicator cross culture
- Great English both verbal and written
