Group Travel Operations - Hauppauge NY

Working in small teams, and assisting groups from 10 to 400 passengers, this role will present you with a diverse range of clients as you take on responsibility for a range of bookings whether it is a wedding, school, sporting body, special interest or large family group.
Your primary purpose will be to provide exceptional service to our clients who are retail travel agents. GoGroups is looking for people who understand the importance of outstanding customer service and have demonstrated detailed knowledge of the travel industry. If you're highly motivated and detail orientated with a background in travel and wanting to embark on the next step in your career, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Previous travel sales experience is preferred, while knowledge of GDS and web systems will be held in high regard.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all group operational changes from signing of contract until group travels
- Maintain/increase profitability of group
- Ensure inventory is always updated
- Ability to work with suppliers
- Constantly look to improve processes
- Ensure all service levels are met for turnaround time
- Ensure quality control is completed for each group
- Ensure all sales goals are met for the company
- Lead and assist new team members when necessary
- Develop and grow customer relationships
Skills
- Softrip experience a plus
- Previous group sales experience a must
- Flexible and able to multi task
- Motivated self-starter
- Ability to work with suppliers
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Excellent verbal/ written communication skills
- Strong teamwork capabilities
