About the Opportunity:
Both Flight Centre Business Travel and Flight Centre Specialists are two of the major growth streams in leisure for the Flight Centre brand, collectively they represent circa $800m of the Australian Leisure results and are key pillars in leisure activity. FCBT is the corporate offering in the retail landscape and is made up of a combination of FCBT Direct and FCBT Retail Teams operating on retail facing and back office model. FC Specialists are the collective group of specialised FC retail teams that focus on First & Business, Round the world, Cruise and Group bookings. These business are geographically spread across Australia and form part of each states results creating a unique opportunity to engage with stakeholders and facilitate growth through these tailored offerings.
With substantial growth targets ahead and a continued focus from the broader FCTG network, the Commercial Analyst is instrumental in supporting the SWOT team and business leaders acting as a finance business partner. Actively building relationships with State Leaders, BDM Team Leaders, Store Team Leaders and the Account Management team is essential in ensuring the brands strategies are effectively developed and delivered.

Strategic and Operational:
- Support Business Leaders in driving and implementing key strategic initiatives
- Developing business models which support sustainable profitable growth
- Design and implement commercial reports that effectively capture the key business indicators
- Provide commercial support and develop commercial acumen of operational leaders
- Conduct business reviews identifying productivity improvement opportunities
- Commercially support the development and roll out of the technology and systems road map
- Assist with the network planning and revenue stream identification projects
Financial
- Ensure financial integrity of operational results and processes
- Responsible for preparation of all management and financial reporting for state based results
- Assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets for both streams
- Identify opportunities and support change to create a World Class Finance Function
- Collaborate with other Finance teams to streamline and automate processes
- Financial control across all parts of the business including financial results and support accounts
- Ensure financial risk is controlled within your remit
People
- Create an environment to support, engage and motivate others within your team both directly and indirectly
- Adhere to Flight Centre communication standards and participate in effective team meetings and planning days

Skills/Experience:
- CPA/CA or studying towards
- Strong commercial acumen and technical knowledge; both within the travel industry and external
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business strategy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical skills with initiative to resolve issues or pursue business opportunities as they are identified
- Strong customer focus
- High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
