Accountant
Come and join a fun finance team dedicated to supporting the Flight Centre and Travel Associates store network. This role is essential to ensuring our customers receive the best experience possible from our Travel Consultants, helping Flight Centre achieve its purpose of opening up the world for those who want to see.

What you will be doing:

Own the financial health of a dedicated region of our store network, including
-
bank and credit card reconciliations
-
third party reconciliations
-
aged debtors and aged creditors
-
turnover and revenue recognition
-
reducing write-offs
-
managing queries - phone and email
-
-
Partner with a Regional Sales Leader to provide insight into the financial health of their stores
-
Tracking and making payments to both internal & external stakeholders
-
Assisting with audit workpaper compilation and queries
-
Constantly look to improve finance workflow processes

Assist with the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives
-
Commit to your own self development

Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and Flight Centre minimum standards for financial systems and processes
What you need to be successful:
-
No previous experience in finance, accounting or commerce necessary
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships

Ability to work independently and part of a team
-
High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change
Qualifications:

Studying towards a degree in finance or accounting
