Here's an overview of the application and recruitment process so you know what to expect.
For all positions at Flight Centre Travel Group, you need to complete our online application form. Tell us about your education, employment history, travel experience, personal achievements and customer service skills. Upload your current resume.
In 2 to 3 business days, our recruitment team emails you to advise on the outcome of your application. If we're impressed with your application, you are invited to a phone interview with one of our recruiters. The email outlines suggested dates and times.
This is a short conversation to find out about your experience and why you want to work with us. It's also a chance for you to learn more about working with Flight Centre Travel Group, the role, and the salary and benefits we offer.
Our recruiter emails you within 48 hours to advise on the outcome of your phone interview. If you're successful, we invite you to complete an online psychometric test and to participate in an recruitment day or face-to-face interview.
Psychometric test online
We send you an email with an online psychometric test to complete at home. It takes about an hour. There are no right or wrong answers. It's designed to assess your thinking styles and behavioural preferences in the workplace.
Recruitment Day or face-to-face interview
Depending on the role you applied for, you are invited either to a Recruitment Day with a group of other candidates or to a face-to-face interview.
The Recruitment Day involves role-plays, short assessments and behavioural interviews. This is a two-way opportunity for us to assess you on your suitability for the role as well as for you to find out more about Flight Centre Travel Group, the role and our development pathways so that you can make an informed decision.
Your face-to-face interview is with a member of the recruitment team or the leader of your geographical region. It’s conducted in person or via video. The interviewer asks you about your experience, skills and ambitions. It's also an opportunity for you to ask us questions.
We ask for your professional references and do pre-employment checks at this stage.
Meet the business
This final step involves a short conversation - either via phone or in person - with one of our business leaders. Our aim is to ensure your best-fit placement with one of our brands in a retail or corporate workplace environment. It's a chance for you or us to ask any follow-up questions.
If you're successful, we call you with a job offer within 2 to 3 business days of the Recruitment Day or face-to-face interview. Welcome aboard. Your career with Flight Centre Travel Group begins...
